Survey on Perception of Vaccines and Vaccination

A large survey regarding the perception of vaccines and vaccination has been conducted in five major European countries with the aim of measuring the usage of vaccines and attitudes towards vaccination. Interviews were conducted with both healthcare professionals and members of the public to assess the perception of vaccines. The main findings are:

• Vaccines enjoy a very high acceptance rate among the public and physicians
• The uptake of vaccines is strongly linked to health authority recommendations
• Physicians play a key role in encouraging vaccination
