Search tips

You can search using individual words, e.g. "influenza", or using complete phrases, e.g. "communicable disease surveillance". If you want to search for a complete phrase, place double quotation marks, " ", around the phrase as in the example above.

Searches are case insensitive. Searching for "Influenza" will match "Influenza", "influenza" and "INFLUENZA".

Adding the wildcard symbol , "*", at the end of a search word can be helpful. The wildcard matches up to four additional letters so that for example a search on "vaccin*" will find pages that contain vaccine, vaccines, vaccinate and vaccinated.
