International Workshop on Alternative Methods to Reduce, Refine, and Replace the Use of Animals in Vaccine Potency and Safety Testing : State of the Science and Future Directions (Bethesda MD. USA, September 2010)
This workshop brings together an international group of scientific experts from relevant stakeholder organizations to review the current status and use of alternative methods that reduce, refine, and replace the use of animals for human and veterinary vaccine potency and post-licensing safety testing. Workshop sessions will include updates on current U.S. and international regulatory requirements, details on currently available alternatives, and discussions of future research, development, and validation activities needed to further advance the use of alternative methods for vaccine potency and post-licensing safety testing.
